Using AI to your advantage

See this time of distraction as an opportunity to take the contrarian-gap and play the unpopular hand that is least expected.

Using AI to your advantage

This may not be an opinion that carries a joyous agreement with many, but for us at least, AI and all of the talk and focus on AI...is largely serving - from a strategic sense - as a massive distraction.

Yes sure - the technology most certainly offers many uses for opening up operational efficiencies, but as far as driving top line growth goes, there are most certainly other easier, overlooked areas that hold far more leverage than AI.

One of these fertile, largely overlooked areas...is the development of company culture as a strategic asset.

Imagine if all of the time and talk and money that is currently going into AI, was instead redirected to rather investing in developing company culture to be more strategic and innovative.

Investing in people and mindsets rather than chatbots.

Valuing effectiveness above efficiency.

Betting on the future, rather than the next earnings call with investors.

You can use AI to your advantage, because you can safely assume that all of the noise surrounding AI is producing a sufficient amount of distraction in the boardrooms of your competitors, into which you can select a neglected focus area that holds far more long-term promise.

AI is a wonderful tool that can most certainly deliver productivity gains for organisations, but as yet it's not very good at creating the future.

See this time of distraction as an opportunity to take the contrarian-gap and play the unpopular hand that is least expected.
