The 'beat your customer for more' strategy

A better way of selling more is to spend more time loading your products with value, so that customers demand them on their own volition.

Some brands have adopted a rather annoying and short-sighted approach to increasing revenue.

The strategy is...to 'beat your customers for more' of their wallet.

Upsell them...by phoning them, at odd hours, to try to sell them additional services on top of the service already being bought by them.

'Sweat the asset' - most probably the annoying phrase, that the accountant in charge, is barking at sales teams.

From the customer's perspective however, this kind of approach makes a brand look desperate and cheap.

It's more difficult, but better for the long-term image of the brand.
