Questioning questions

What you see depends on how you choose to frame what you are looking at.

The mindset you approach a problem with is shaped by the questions you select to ask of the problem.

On the one hand you might ask: "What could go wrong with this investment?" And then explore the downside risks of a proposed project. If there are too many potential consequences that carry significant impact you may see the initiative as not worth doing.

But you might also ask: "What would make success inevitable?". And explore some of the levers that are within your control that could have a positive influence on the outcome of the initiative. If there are enough levers that could tip the odds of success more in your favour, you will no doubt see the initiative as worth doing.
