Looking at things in the distance

What's right in front of you is not all that it's cracked up to be.

Looking at things in the distance

For many of us, we spend a lot of our day staring at a screen situated half a metre from our eyeballs.

Our worldview is literally stuffed into a limited-orbital that plays out right in front of us.

Whatever is on our near-sighted playlist, becomes our all-consuming reality.

So when given the chance to otherwise physically look at everyday, neutral things in the distance: clouds, birds, trees, colours, shapes, horizons; they appear to arrive in our minds with a pleasant glimmer of relief.

Rather than the world showing up as a hot mess on a screen; it emerges as an interconnected, dynamic wonder of perfection.

If you want to feel inspired and filled with hope, go outside and stare mindlessly at it; at things in the distance for a short while.

What you'll quickly realise is that what's right in front of you is not all that it's cracked up to be.
