Guiding choices

Checking and configuring the blueprint from which options are selected is what makes for a good strategy.

Guiding choices

In every organisation choices are made.

These decisions are usually taken by senior people.

The choice itself - is thanks to, supposedly, logical reasoning...and grounded in the theory that the action will offer some kind of benefit, over time, to the business.

What isn't always explicit though is the 'logical reasoning' guiding these choices behind the scenes.

Often even the people making the choices are not even fully aware of what is truly guiding their choice-making.

But checking and configuring the blueprint from which options are selected is what makes for a good strategy.

Explicitly broadcasting these principles throughout the organisation is what significantly contributes to choice consistency and teams that are all 'pulling in the same direction'.

If not - there's confusion, animosity, anxiety and sub-par performance.

You can operate a company without a playbook, but not one that is effective.
