Brand 'Art'efacts
You can tell a lot about the inner culture of a brand by just having a look at its promotional brand artefacts.
In-N-Out Burger have immortalised their legendary drink cup with the release of a new branded slip-on shoe, which is available for sale on their website.
This follows on from their Fry Boat Pool Noodle - obviously currently SOLD OUT, and their drink cup wallet.
In our experience, you can tell a lot about the inner culture of a brand by just having a look at its promotional artefacts [promo items]. By natural default you'll find a distinct lack of creativity and imagination when it comes to what items even big prestigious companies choose to brand. It's astounding as to how damaging this laziness and uselessness is.
Go to any conference and marvel at the crap that brands are happy to dump on you thinking that somehow they're making a good impression. It's laughable - they should be ashamed.
In contrast there's the cleverness of brands like In-N-Out Burger and their innovative approach to designing appropriate brand artefacts.
The take out here is - if you're not going to do it really well - just choose to not do it.
