Trading problems

Problems that prickle below the surface can erupt into situations that put an abrupt end to progress.

When you attempt to solve these issues, you effectively trade the unwanted problems for other problems that are more manageable.

Problems will always exist in any system, but some sets of problems are more digestible than others. It's your choice then as to which problems you choose to have.

When you endeavour to resolve issues, typically this would mean taking the point of view that the problem is a symptom of issues relating to the design of the system in which it is located. Resolution comes through a redesign of the broader system, again accepting other problems as a consequence.

Dissolving problems refers to an intentional 'collapsing of the offending system' in favour of a wholesale idealised design of a brand new, purposeful system.

Strategy is a creative problem solving / problem resolving / problem dissolving process.

Identifying which problems are most problematic is key, but then also acknowledging that other, more agreeable problems, are the goal.
