The point of it all...is winning
Excellence isn't sparked by settling to just 'make up the numbers'.
The reason to bother with strategy is to win.
To win? Win what?
Whether we want to face up to it or not, life is competitive.
Everyday is an opportunity to learn more, push ourselves, strive to develop a side of ourselves that's not quite 'there' as yet. We win when we push ourselves to be better.
If you're in business, you compete for customers...you fight for marketshare. The game of capitalism heavily favours winners.
Winning to you could also mean making the impact that you envision. Building a brand that people admire, selling all available tickets at higher-than-average prices, filling your order book before you've even started production.
Excellence isn't sparked by settling to just 'make up the numbers'; dedication and brilliance come thanks to a wild desire to win. Without the desire to win there's very little reason to get better.
The point of it all...is winning.
