In marvel of mess
Without remarkable episodes of mess, how else will we ever know how far we've come?
Mess is slowly becoming scarce.
Stupid ideas, mad mistakes...plain old kak - things that we create and then normally step back from, shake our heads in disgust and immediately adopt a wildly uncomfortable feeling of regret.
In the moment mess is repulsive and loaded with shame, but in hindsight...an incubator of personal renewal.
The gift of mess however is that it offers us historical milestones that we can look back on and marvel at our own progress over time.
Without remarkable episodes of mess, how else will we ever know how far we've come?
If our reliance on technology to produce neat solutions denies us the opportunity to feel shame for the mess we would otherwise have made; we're cutting off a rich source of energy that drives our growth path journey.
New discoveries are often made as a result of mistakes and failure; with these catalysts of learning becoming rarer, we will need to find other doors into the unknown that serve our creative desires.
