Scrooge gets to ride a Peloton bike this Christmas

Christmas is a great time of the year for consumerism and aggressive, big-budget brand building.

So, dear readers, prepare yourselves for a slew of noteworthy big-brand Christmas advertising as an end-of-2021 snapshot as to where the heads are at of marketing and brand managers of the companies that we all admire.

Peloton kicks us off - featuring Scrooge splurging out on a Peloton system, which apparently helps him feel just a bit more joyful during the festive season.

We're not convinced of the casting of the Scrooge character for this one. He's just not mean enough to be convincing. The creative idea isn't bad, but they could have done far more character development upfront to drive the point home that his Peloton bike is the transformational catalyst of his foul mood.

So for us - this one needs more work; or a more forceful director.
